Like Platform 1, this platform focuses on lipid analysis, employing chloroform/methanol extraction and the analysis is performed by UHPLC coupled to a Time-of-Flight (ToF) mass spectometer. This platform covers:
⦁ Fatty acyls: primary fatty amides.
⦁ Sterol lipids: Cholesterol esters, cholesterol and cholesteryl sulfate.
⦁ Sphingolipids: ceramides, monohexosylceramides and sphingomyelins.
⦁ Glycerolipids: monoacylglycerols, diacylglycerols and triacylglycerols.
⦁ Glycerophospholipids: phosphatidylethanolamines, phosphatidylinositols, and phosphatidylcholines, including ether-linked species.
