At OWL Metabolomics, we are committed to delivering top-quality services for cutting-edge research. Our approach involves strict control over analytical procedures and the utilization of state-of-the-art facilities. We have a professional team of experts in the field ready to accommodate your needs. Here’s an overview of how we work:
Our qualified team of bioanalytical chemists gets in contact with you to discuss project details and provide technical guidance. We help design optimal experiments, including sample collection, preparation, analysis, and data processing, aiming for high-quality, fast, and cost-efficient results.
Sample prep is crucial in metabolomics, impacting metabolome coverage. We use specific methods based on the analysis requested, tailored to the sample type and metabolome portion of interest (e.g. lipids, amino acids).
Our platforms include liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometers (UPLC-MS), that offer selective and sensitive analyses for metabolite identification. Samples are analyzed in positive/negative ESI modes, scanning from m/z 50-1200 on a reverse-phase column chosen based on the application. OWL Metabolomics counts on both high- and low-resolution mass spectrometers that are used according to the analysis requirements.
Data handling is a challenging and critical step in metabolomics, requiring expertise in bioinformatics, statistics, and specialized software.
At OWL Metabolomics, we utilize powerful informatics and statistical applications to manage metabolomics datasets. Our analytical platforms are supported by state-of-the-art software and visualization tools, enabling transformation of complex data into informative charts and graphs. We employ chemometric tools like PCA, PLS-DA, OPLS, and univariate statistical analysis.
Our results package includes a detailed report of experimental methods, including a description of the results obtained from the data analysis and interpretation of these results. We also provide the obtained metabolomics data set.
